Preparing the material:
All of the cards are meant to be laminated (recommended laminate thickness: 90-125 micron).
The individual cards need to be cut out.
Sides not to be laminated: templates
Sides or cards to be bound into a booklet: 5 sides for a booklet of 19 pages and a cover

Teaching content:
Early reading, specific botanical terms, spring flowers, game

Possible Applications:
Possible application in connection with topics or projects such as:
biology, spring, plants
Free work, individual work, pair work, small group work

Before you begin:
To work with this material, the children require:
a mat or felt board, a number of display blocks with 3 grooves, playing pieces, dice, picture books, encyclopaedias, real flowers where possible

How to use:
The children can put the large picture cards in the back row of the display blocks and match the text and name cards to them. They can also pair the cards with actual flowers.
Dice game rules:
The player with the lowest dice roll starts.
Green dot: Read out a side of the flower booklet and collect 3 flowers.
Blue dot: Answer the question correctly and collect 2 flowers.
Red dot: Read the top action card and follow the instructions.
Yellow dot: Take a minute to gaze at the beautiful flowers. Collect 1 flower.
The flower chips can be added to your die roll score (one extra move per flower).
Every time you pass the starting dot collect 3 extra flower chips.
Objective: The player who brings the most flower chips to the starting point after a set time is the winner.
The children can make their own booklet with their own drawings and texts.

Control of Error:
On the picture card, in the area covered when placed in the display block, is the name of the flower. The booklet can also be used.
