The individual cards need to be cut out.
Sides not to be laminated: none
Sides or cards to be bound into a booklet: none

Teaching content:
Numbers, forming (large) numbers, hierarchy of numbers, decimal places

Possible Applications:
Free time activity, individual work, pair work, small group work

Before you begin:

To work with this material, the children require:
a floor mat, a felt board, possibly the material 'Golden Bead Workfile', 'Stamp Game Workfile', an abacus, ...)

How to use:
The children should lay the number cards out:
On the right, the units (one below the other from 1 to 9), left of that the tens, etc.
They can build the numbers, match the numbers to a quantity (bead material), match a quantity to a number, play the 'Bank Game', use the number cards with an abacus or the 'Stamp Game', etc.

Control of error:
The color code matches that of the different materials used with the cards.

Additional information:
This material extends the classic Montessori material by adding 'ten thousands', 'hundred thousands' and 'millions'. Furthermore, the 'thousands' are set on a gray background, and the 'millions' on a black background (as with the abaci).
There are also additional cards for working with decimals.
The number of large and small number card sets was chosen so that they can be used to play the 'Bank Game'.
