All of the cards are meant to be laminated (recommended laminate thickness: 90-125 micron).
Leave the charts which can be covered with loose cards as they are, in A4 format.
The picture and letter cards on the other hand, need to be cut out individually. Every set of cards (pictures, cursive uppercase, cursive lowercase, print uppercase, print lowercase) should be kept in separate boxes.
Sides not to be laminated: template (blank A4 card in black and white)
Sides or cards to be bound into a booklet: none

Both letter-sound and sound-letter correspondence. familiarity with different styles of letters (Upper- and lowercase letters, in cursive and print)

Possible Applications:
Free time activity, individual work, pair work. The material is ideal for learning different styles of letters and differentiating between them and their sounds, as well as practising the alphabet.

Before You Begin:
To work with this material, the children require:
a floor mat or felt board, stationery for writing and/or drawing (for the template).

How to Use:
The children can select any of the charts and lay a set of loose cards on top. Any combination is possible here: pictures on upper or lowercase letters, print letters on cursive, uppercase letters on lowercase letters, or each vice-versa. Any set of loose cards can be laid on the chart with the empty fields. Sequencing the alphabet in particular is done on this blank chart. After the activity, a template can be filled in writing . The children can also draw their own pictures.

Control of Error:
For every combination, one of the charts can be used as control of error.

Additional Information:
This material is very good for reception classes. The children may already know some letters. They will also become familiar with the different fonts.
