Dr. Montessori distinguishes between word and sentence level in her grammar. Word analysis is done with symbols and sentence analysis with a set of circles and arrows. For word analysis, we have long offered 'Grammar Hoppers' made of carpet. The children hop from word type to word type. New are the 'Sentence Hoppers'. Circles made of carpet and laminated arrows with questions about sentence structure enable learning in motion.
